Prof. Dr. -Ing Kilian Oberleithner

Seit Mai 2018 leitet Kilian Oberleithner das Fachgebiet Dynamik instabiler Strömungen. Er schloss seine Doktorarbeit in 2012 unter der gemeinsamen Leitung von Prof. Oliver Paschereit der TU Berlin und Prof. Israel Wygnanski der University of Arizona ab. Nach einem Post Doc im Labor von Prof. Julio Soria an der Monash University Melbourne übernahm er die Leitung einer Forschergruppe an der TU Berlin. Seine Forschungsgebiete konzentrieren sich auf die Entstehung von Strömungsinstabilitäten und kohärenten Strukturen in reagierende und nichtreagierende turbulenten Strömungen und der Entwicklung von Kontrollmethoden unter Verwendung von Stabilitätstheorie, Laserdiagnostik, und empirischer Verfahren der Modellreduktion. Übergeordnetes Ziel seiner Arbeit ist die Übertragung neuester Ergebnisse der Grundlagenforschung auf industrierelevante Problemstellungen.
