Details about our online courses

The courses Kontrolle turbulenter Strömungen and Methoden der Datenanalyse in der Thermofluiddynamik will be offered completely online via ISIS (KTS, MDTF). The contents of the lectures will be provided by screencasts. In addition, there will be online meetings once a week as well as a forum available for questions and discussions about the teached contents. The first appointment will take place live in virtual presence. For

KTS: on Tuesday, 21/04/2020 at 2.15 pm (see ISIS),

MDTF: on Friday, den 24/04/2020 at 10.15 am (see ISIS).

Although the TU Berlin is largely shut down, the courses Kontrolle turbulenter Strömungen and Methoden der Datenanalyse in der Thermofluiddynamik will be offered this summer term! Further details on how everything will run online are going to be announced here and on ISIS (KTS, MDTF) soon.

Big success at the 
ASME TurboExpo 2019: Two BEST PAPER AWARDS!

We just learned that Thomas and Kilian, together with the co-authors at two of our partner institutes (LadHyx in Paris and IMFT/CERFACS in Toulouse), swept the board at the ASME TurbExpo Conference 2019 in Phoenix, USA! Even two of our articles were chosen for a Best Paper Award! We are looking forward to receive the prices at the ASME TurboExpo 2020 in London!

Mohammad and Bhav presented their work regarding Shock-Dividers at the SciTech 2020. Mohammad gave a talk about Evaluation of Shock Dividers using Numerical and Experimental Methods und Bhav talked about Redistribution of Transient Shock Waves Using Shock Dividers.

International Symposium on Turbulence and Shear Flow Phenomena (TSFP11)

Phobe and Jens attend the International Symposium on Turbulence and Shear Flow Phenomena, which takes place in Southampton, UK from July 30 to Juni 2, 2019. Here, Jens and Phobe give a talk about a "Modal analysis of coherent structures in a self-similar turbulent boundary layer with adverse pressure gradient" and ''Spectral decomposition of the turbulent self-similar jet and recomposition using linear dynamics", respectively.
