The experimental study of coherent structures in turbulent, reacting, and non-reacting flows is Finn Lückoff's main task within the department. His studies are mainly focused on flows in model combustors and water turbines. Modern optical measurement methods as well as innovative concepts of active flow control are used.
Finn Lückoff studied physical engineering TU Berlin from 2010 to 2015. He focused his studies on fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. From 2012 until his master's degree, he worked as a student assistant at the Department of Experimental Fluid Mechanics at TU Berlin. Since 2016, Finn Lückoff has been employed as a research assistant at the department and completed his PhD in April 2021 in the field of active flow control of swirling flames.
